WELL it's been a LOOOONG time hasn't it? Last time I posted a journal was at the beginning of 2014. The last 2 years of my life have been busy. A lot of things have changed. For starters I'm not really in the pony community anymore (if I ever really was), into anime instead, haven't done digital 2D creation or 3D work in a cool while, and I'm into photography. There's the short version
I originally wrote this looong journal entry that entailed exactly what I've done since 2014 but I decided to scrap the whole thing. My interests have changed rapidly in the last 2 years. I used to do 2D vector and 3D animation but now it's audio and photography and just now doing videography. Check out my 500Px profile at 500px.com/x-90
. I'd link a youtube account but they're all empty... for now.
Since my artistic (if you can call it that) direction is taking a severe turn, feel free to unfollow me. I will be posting photographs here from here and for the foreseeable future. MAAAYBE I'll do some 2D/3D again. I'll also try ACTUALLY engaging with people. Before I would post stuff with long enough descriptions so that I wouldn't have to talk to anybody. I'll still post long descriptions but this time I'll try to be... human.
500Px is mainly a showcase for my better stuff for the general crowd (dogs, cats, or generally technical photos) and my DeviantArt will be for the content (non-technical stuff so no cut throat-bokeh and museum pieces). Anime Expo 2016 is rolling up in not that many hours so I'll probably be posting cosplay photos. Some may be a little risque so I'll be tagging NSFW generously since this DA was originally 100% family friendly.
If any of you guys are going to Los Angeles Anime Expo 2016 maybe we can meet up and shoot stuff! I'll be roaming around cosplaying as Minoru Minorikawa who is a photographer from Canaan. Original I know.
If any of you are wondering what photography gear I'm running...
Samsung NX1000 (MILC) with FD adapter and various lenses
Canon 7D (DSLR) with various EF(S) lenses
Sony A7R2 (DSLM)[FF] with only a E 70-200MM F/4 G OSS so far. Love it.
No brand loyalties. ONLY. PHOTOS. (and video)
It's good to be backish!
